Where Does The Light in Your Eyes Come From When They Are Closed in the Dark?
In the dark, when you close your eyes and wiggle them back and forth, you can see light. Where does the light come from?
Our eyes have receptors that pick up light. An easy way to think of it is that the back of your eye does not feel pain but instead those receptors help you see light. When wiggling back and forth (same happens if you gently push on one side of your eyelid when closed) you are essentially activating and triggering the receptors.
