Do You Need LEGO 8016 Star Wars Hyena Droid Bomber In Your Collection?
LEGO 8016 Star Wars Hyena Droid Bomber is available now, and an awesome entry into the world of LEGO Star Wars. Recommended for ages 7 – 12, it is also a great item for Star Wars enthusiasts of any age. With 232 pieces, this set also features great mini-figures and some worthwhile extras.
Included in the set are three Rocket Battle Droids, looking sleek and menacing as always. They carry long blasters by their sides. They are orange in color with gray accent, and wear jetpacks on their backs.
Looking at this Droid, you’re probably really impressed. For the price, this is a truly huge Droid. You can move the wings up on the Hyena Droid Bomber. In addition, the left side head on the top of the Droid moves up and down. The second head on the top of the unit doesn’t appear to have much use, other than aesthetic appeal. This vehicle also features stable legs (despite how they might appear), which is a great asset for this set.
The coloring on the Droid is pretty standard, with a gray body and slate blue colored accents throughout the piece. The Droid can either convert into a walking Droid or a flying droid, and you just change the positioning of the arms to do this. The unit stands pretty tall when engaged into the walking position, and resembles a battle ship when in the flying position.
There is some interesting bomb dropping action made possible by a rubber band and two levers, and they look great. You get four bombs that are very easy to reload. The set measures 10” wide, and takes up a substantial amount of space in the walking position.
When viewing this set through the lens of playability, you may find that this is somewhat more limited than other LEGO Star Wars sets out there. Combine this set with other LEGO Star Wars sets to enhance the playability.
