what are the best sewing kits?
i am 11, and for Christmas, i want a sewing kit. can u show me a website or a link for a sewing kit for under $60 or possibly $50? thanks.
The kits are usually full of the cheapest stuff possible, and just are not stuff you can use easily and well.

Scissors or shears are the most expensive of the basic sewing items. For ok and cheap, I’d suggest Fiskar’s dressmaker shears, but for a little bit more expense, you could have Kai, which are excellent and not all that badly priced.
For the most basic sewing, all you really need are some fairly decent scissors, some pins and hand sewing needles, fabric and thread. Here’s an 1893 hand sewing textbook that covers all the basics:
