The Real Deal with Flower Power
The healing powers of flower essences have been getting a lot of publicity lately. It seems like everywhere you turn there is a new and better way to increase your mood through aromatherapy. But does any of it work, or is it all pseudo science in the name of making a buck. In order to better understand the potential healing powers and the viability of them, we first need to understand what exactly flower essence is.
When people speak of a flower essence, they are generally talking about the scent or aroma that the flower gives off. The healing powers are based on the naturally occurring vibrations that a specific flower releases into the universe. By the way, you also give off vibrations and so does the chair you are sitting in right now. In fact, according to great minds like Einstein, everything in the universe gives off vibrations. Vibrations in the manner we speak of is nothing more than the energy contained within all things. Those vibrations are what all things need, to have and hold the shapes they are. What is even more amazing is that the vibrations someone or something, else gives off can interact with your vibrations and change your mood.
The passing of energy from one thing to another is the basis behind the belief that flowers contain healing powers. Why flowers, why not just sit you in a chair that gives off those same good vibrations? It really is simple. Think about what happens to your when your stick your nose into a beautiful bouquet of flowers. Something inside of you triggers a smile as you inhale deeply. Most of us just attribute it to the fact that someone likes us enough to bring flowers, but that is not the case. The next time you walk past a rose bush, all you have to do is bend down and take a whiff, and that same smile breaks across your lips. That my friend, is the healing power of flower essences working. The aroma, or vibrations, that the flower is passing onto you, is interacting with your vibrations and changing or enhancing them. So the next time you hear someone talk about the healing benefits of flowers, instead of blowing them off, take a minute to learn a bit more about this strange and wonderful phenomenon.
