Fathers Day

Fathers Day
What is a good Fathers Day present from a 3 year old?

My son is 3 so hes at the age where he like to make things. Any suggestions on USEFUL fathers day crafts or activities ideas? My husband doesnt need anything really, or want anything, so I figured we would make him something. We plan on doing his favorite dinner but does anyone have a suggestion on a good arts & craft project? I have searched the internet, but most of the crafts are things that will not be up his ally (like a “#1 Dad” ribbon, stuff like that). Thanks in advance.

Here’s a gift I’ve received from my kids on Fathers’ Days many years ago. Mine were done on paper plates, but you can do it on just about anything. A paper plate works well though because you can hang it on the wall and it looks nicely finished already – almost like it’s pre-framed.

Get some non-toxic paint, paint the three-year-old’s hand (palm and fingers), and help them press it onto the middle of the plate without smudging the hand print. Then write around the outside, “Remember the hand you used to hold when I was only three years old.”

My oldest son just turned 17. He’s becoming a great young man, but I still love and cherish the handprint he made me 14 years ago. It’s so small, it’s amazing to think it was the same little person who grew up into the son I’m proud of today.

It may not be a “useful” gift, but it’s one that will be cherished, and in years to come, it will be irreplaceable, having captured something from your son at this age that will never be the same again.
