what is the best fabric paint on the market?
Which ones have you had good results with? We’re having a children’s garden theme party, and we want to have t-shirts for our guests to paint and keep. My wife thinks we should have some sparkly, puffy, and glow in the dark fabric paint in addition to the regular ones for coloring. In the past when my girls have used fabric paint, they ususally peel off after 2 or 3 washes. What will help stop this?
I like using regular acrylic paints. If you attach the shirts to a heavy cardboard surface with spray adhesive the kids can paint to their hearts delight. Also you can draw images onto the shiney side of freezer paper and iron that onto the shirts….no words though as they will come out reversed. Be sure to use white tees. You can also buy fabric crayons. Use a little dimensional paint as a last step to embellish, be sure to press it into the fabric as you apply it for best long lasting results. Let dry thoroughly before wearing. Never iron them after applying, you’ll have a mess.
