3 weeks ago, I fell and hit my head and have since vertigo for ten seconds whenever lying down or getting up.?
The GP said the vertigo will go away itself within days. But it is now 21 days.
The symptom only occurs when I am in the lying position; seems fine in standing and sitting positions. Somebody said my ear crystal (stone) that serves balancing has been dislocated after the accident and that I may need help from a hearing specialist or an ENT. Anyone has similar experience?
Brief vertigo related to change in posture ocurs when internal ear or temporal lobe of brain are injured. Such changes are reversible in six to eight weeks after which you may seek ENT specialist`s opinion.
