Crayola Washable Markers?? Vans Shoes?
I really want to draw all over on my vans shoes ( or my converse) and make them my own. But i want to draw it using washable markers so i can take the whole design off any time i want to. So my question is if i draw on my shoes with washable markers will it easily get off next time i wash my vans?
Crayolas washables are made to wash off, so yes, they will wash away, mostly. Red might stick around a bit longer, so will some dark blues. My kids used them on their t-shirts and the one had a small pink spot that never came out completely. The only real downside is that when you wear your shoes in the rain, you’ll be leaving colourful little footprints everywhere as the rainwater will wash out the colour. If you want a permanent design, sharpies won’t wash off right away, but there are durability problems with them as they are pigment based, which means the colour sits on the surface. For a marker that never washes off, craft stores such as Michael’s sell fabric markers that are permanent. They are dye based, not pigment based, and they are made for drawing and painting on cottons, canvas, silk, and other fabrics.
