Creative Easter Egg
There are lots of fun ways you can use Easter eggs in crafts. Take your egg decorating to the next level with these fun craft ideas. These Easter egg creations can make for a fun afternoon with your kids or can serve as a project to do at your next Easter party. Either way you will find these Easter egg creations are both fun and easy to do. Here are some great ideas for Easter egg creations:
Easter Egg Bunny. This delightful bunny looks great as part of a centerpiece at Easter dinner or as a one of kind place card holder to let your Easter dinner guests know where to sit.
What you will need:
A dyed egg for each bunny (springtime colors look great!)
Coordinated colors of foam or cardstock that match each egg
One set of googly eyes for each bunny
Pipe cleaners for whiskers
2 larger pom poms and one small black pom pom for the nose
One small square of white cardstock or foam for the bunny teeth
Craft glue
Instructions: Dye the eggs the color you want the bunny to be. This project works well with either hard boiled or blown eggs. Allow the dye to dry completely before you go any further. Using a coordinating color of foam or cardstock cut out ears for the top of your bunny and a heart shaped piece that will be the feet. Attach the ears to the top of the bunny and bend them back slightly. Make the bunny’s feet by attaching the heart shaped piece to the bottom of the egg with the top of the heart facing out. Place the eyes on the bunny. Right below the eyes attach the two larger pom poms with the black one sitting on top to form the bunnys nose. Center the large pom poms on the bunny’s face and place the small black pom pom directly above them. Cut the pipe cleaner down to the size you want the whiskers to be and attach to the larger pom poms. Attach the white cardstock just below the pom poms for the teeth. If you are using the bunnies as place cards, either write the names directly on the bunny or place a small name card in front of them.
Easter Duck. There is no need to settle for just making Easter bunnies when you can turn your Easter egg crafts into darling ducks as well!
What you will need:
Eggs
Craft Foam
Feathers
Wiggle Eyes
Ribbon
Fine-Tip Marker
Craft Glue
Scissors
Instructions for the project: White eggs work best, but you can use any color you like. You can use hard boiled eggs or a plastic egg that is easily found at Easter time. First, draw a template for the duck’s bill and feet. You can probably find ones online but it will work fine to draw your own. Use the pattern pieces to cut the template from the cardstock. Using the template, cut out a bill and two duck feet from the craft foam. Using the craft glue attach them to the egg. Attach the feathers in whatever way you would like. Use your creativity and feather your duck the way you want! Glue the wiggly eyes onto the face of your duck. Use the fine tip marker and carefully draw nostril dots on the ducks bill. For a finishing touch tie a small piece of ribbon into a bow and glue it onto your duck.
