What do I do if my hair is different colors from hair dye?
Okay my natural color is blonde. I dyed it bleach blonde, kept filling in the roots, dyed it light brown, then dyed it dark brown. Now my hair is brown with blonde streaks in it. My mom said we should call the salon and they can strip it or whatever. I heard that it turns your hair orange so I have no idea what to do! I dont wanna look like a clown! Please please someone help me!
I would love to help you! but I can’t. you need to get a color specialist to fix your hair. Your hair has so much stuff all over it that it’s is pointless to do anything by yourself. Listen to your mom, and hopefully her place knows what to do, and do it right.
Yes, stripping all that color off your hair will turn it orange, but that’s just the first step. There’s other steps to follow that should make it natural again.
That’s why you should not color your hair yourself at home, the more you mess up, the more expensive it will be to fix it. If your mom pays for it you are lucky. I charge $100 for the first step, if there is a second step, and every step after that, I charge $75. But those are my prices, and not everyone else’s.
I am a colorist by profession and I’ve been doing it for a long time. If the person you go to specializes in color then you can relax and not worry.
get it professionally done, make sure you get a consultation before you start, and have them explain it to you. I can’t see your hair so I can’t tell you what to say to them.
they way you described your hair “brown with blonde streaks” doesn’t sound like you should mess with it.
but then again, I can’t see it. because of what you said you did: bleach blond to lite brown to dark brown, your hair should be greenish…unless something you put in it had gold or red or copper. brown won’t stick to bleach blonde, and then the base color (blue, or green) will show up when it fades…..if you decide to put more color on it yourself, it will cost you more. the more you add, the more colors you will have. go get it fixed by a pro.
good luck!
