A play called the innocents opened its curtains at the local theater featuring local artists. At the set is a portrait, about which legends abound, about its supernatural ties. There is disproportion when it comes to the chest and shoulder.
The fact that her eyes are trained to know what a Borzoi should look like exactly makes it seem weird as she bought this picture. Contrary to what she thought, her husband blowing up as he arrived home that evening and found her to have purchased that painting which hung in their wall, he shared instead about how he was so allured by it, the same attraction his wife had felt. Amateurs and experts have all taken shots of this painting but it never came out the same, ever. Some moments, a spectral face would appear on the right portion of the painting, in some the dog appears to be almost three dimensional, in others flat, but in almost all of the pictures, whether they were in black and white or color, there have been strange lights appearing.
One time, husband and wife were discussing about whether there was an entity that came along with the picture they had of the Borzoi hound, but then the husband insisted that there was nothing weird about it and they simply imagined too much and it was just light reflections playing with their minds. Just then a large ceramic plate, which was hanging on the wall, fell with a crash to the floor, without breaking.
The Innocents production head and director asked the couple who owned the portrait if he could loan it for his play revolved around the story of the supernatural and he was relieved to learn that they gladly consented to making it part of the backdrop of his stage presentation. The couple insisted that there was a supernatural force that accompanied that portrait that entered their home the day they bought it, and the couple hopes that letting this appear in a production such as the Innocents may assist them in discovering what or who it is.
