Hey guys, my parakeets having some very weird activity.. She poos in her water?
So, i used to check her water almost every week, and see that she pooed In her water ‘bucket’ or container.. What ever.. So.. Now i check it almost everyday and and sometimes see poo there… And i feel the urge to ask why.. And please help me.. Oh! BTW She has another friend parakeet.
The water dish is too big. If it wasn’t too big you would not be able to get away with ” i used to check her water almost every week “. Water should be changed daily,sometimes 2 or 3 times a day ,depending on how dirty it gets. You do not check water ALMOST every day. You check it daily and then some. Move the perches away from above the water dishes . A hooded water dish might help but that has to be cleaned daily also. You do feed the bird daily and change the papers often, don’t you?
