Any One Have any good craft/activity/game ideas for babysitting two children ages 4 and 7?
fishing game. It is reay easy to make and cheap too. They will love it. I played it with my kids all the time and they still love it.
Need:
dowel rod (about the length of a good size pole)
buy as many as you need
string or ribbon
magnets
paper clips or push pin fasteners
construction papter
hot glue
Tie a knot at one end of the dowel rod and hot glue it in place with the string or ribbon. At the other end hot glue the magnet to it. There is your fishing pole.
As far as making fish you can be creative as you want. On Valentines day I made pink, red and purple hearts and attached paper clips at the end. I also made them in different shapes. I places them all over the floor and the kids had to stand in one spot and see how many they can get without moving. I have also done shamrocks for St. Patty’s day. You can use differnet colors or shapes to help teach the younger one. Also you can put numbers on them to teach the younger one numbers. Then turn around and give a math problem to the older one and they have to fish for the answer. You can even use magazine cliping and do pictures with a theme. Possibilities are endless.
Also Balloon tennis
paint sticks (depends on how many are playing)
paper plates
balloons.
attach the paper plates to the paint sticks. Use a broom stick as a line or net. Hit the balloon back and forth. You cannot let the balloon touch the ground or the other person will get a point. One to reach 10 points wins. You can even decorate their own personal plates.
